RecyCoal undertakes the complete investment from design and operation to dismantling and final restoration.

On disused mines, RecyCoal carry out all the necessary preparatory work before the start of operations including the obtaining of planning and other regulatory consents.

RecyCoal sell the coal produced from the clean up direct to the electricity generation market.

Progressive restoration of the site forms part of the detailed operating plan with final restoration following the completion of active processing. In addition, RecyCoal normally carry out an extensive period of aftercare following final restoration to ensure the newly restored site is fully established.

On operational mines, RecyCoal operates under a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) agreement.

The export standard coal produced is delivered to the mine operator for onward marketing. Tolling under the BOO contract is based on either input feed or coal produced over an agreed period.

Appropriate incentive mechanisms optimise plant efficiency and output and the commercial arrangements provides an efficient mechanism to manage financial and operational risk between the parties.

This additional cost competitive coal can provide a significant increase to mine output and reserves and consequently improve profitability and sustainability of the mining operation.
